Dr. Diwa Hamal Lamichhane is a consultant in oculoplasty, ocular aesthetics, and cataract surgeon at Nepal Eye Hospital, Tripureshwor. She completed her MS in ophthalmology at Manipal College of Medical Sciences in 2012 and a two-year anterior segment fellowship at EREC-P (BEH) in 2015. From 2017 to 2018, she completed her fellowship in oculoplastic from Tilganga and received training in ocular aesthetics and Botox administration under Dr. Debraj Som at Tirupati Eye Hospital. Additionally, she completed a quality manager’s fellowship at Dr. Shroff’s Charity Eye Hospital in New Delhi in 2018.
Dr. Diwa is highly regarded for her surgical skills, having performed over 20,000 procedures, including cataract, pterygium, DCR, blepharoplasty, and various oculoplasty surgeries. She regularly participates in surgical camps in rural Nepal and has published numerous research papers, presenting her work at national and international conferences. She is also dedicated to training and teaching surgical techniques.
