Dr. Sumit Singh Maharjan

Dr Sumit Singh Maharjan is an Assistant Professor and Consultant Ophthalmologist at the Metro Eye Care and Patan Hospital, Lalitpur. He specializes in cataract surgery and anterior segment surgeries.After completing his medical degree at Nepalgunj Medical College, he undertook his ophthalmology training at the Nepal Medical College from Kathmandu University. He subsequently undertook anterior segment fellowship at Mechi Eye Hospital where he mastered phacoemulsification cataract surgery and anterior segment surgeries.Dr Maharjan is passionate about teaching and is actively involved in training ophthalmology residents, medical students at Patan Hospital. He has presented and participated at national and international conferences and has published many articles in peer-reviewed journals.
