Prof. Dr Govinda Paudyal

Prof. Dr. Govinda Poudyal is the Academic Chief and Retinal Surgeon in Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology (TIO). He is the Professor and co-coordinator of Subject Committee, Ophthalmology in National Academy of Medical Sciences (NAMS). He completed his MD in Ophthalmology from Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University, Nepal in 1996. He pursued a highly prestigious postgraduate one year clinical fellowship in vitero-retina at Royal Victorian Eye & Ear Hospital, Australia in 2000.

Dr. Paudyal is a very good cataract and expert Vitreo-Retina surgeon. He has visited remote places of Nepal and abroad for various cataract surgical camps. He is a life member of Nepal Ophthalmic Society (NOS) and Nepal Vitreo-Retina Society (NVRS). He has been involved in dozens of hospital based and community based researches in the field of Cataract and Retina for last 2 decades. He has received Distinguished Service Award from Asia-Pacific Academy of Ophthalmology (APAO).
